The People Behind the Magic

Bob founded Anderson’s Autobody in 1989, growing it into a trusted collision repair and paint shop. He has adapted strategies to meet customer needs, including a vehicle pickup and drop-off service during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, he partnered with Sandpoint High School and Panhandle Driving School, engaging experts to teach practical car skills in Driver’s Education classes. Bob is committed to road safety and empowering the community with knowledge about car maintenance and insurance.

Dave is our senior autobody technician with over 30 years at Anderson’s Autobody. His expertise spans painting, precision frame measuring, and complete rebuilds. He holds professional certifications, including Platinum I-Car and S/P2, and ensures his team is equally trained. Dave works closely with customers to review damage reports, order parts, and handle repairs. A Sandpoint native, he has built his career and family in North Idaho and enjoys motocross, dirt biking, and pontoon boating on Lake Pend Oreille.

Cam joined us in 2020 as demand for skilled estimators and tech-savvy auto experts grew. With 35 years of experience in high-volume autobody shops in Canada and Oregon, he is a certified painter specializing in paintless dent repair (PDR) and professional detailing. Cam lives in Garfield Bay with his wife and three young children, enjoying snow skiing, water skiing, and lake time.

Matthew is our newest team member, certified in body and paint through the prestigious BMW STEP Automotive Program. Originally from Dickinson, North Dakota, he honed his skills in Denver, Portland, and Los Angeles, specializing in high-end luxury and German-engineered vehicles. A new father, Matthew proudly resides in Clark Fork.

A native of Sandpoint, Idaho, Don Huggins is our lead structural repair technician with 32 years of experience. His attention to detail and high standards ensure quality repairs that satisfy our customers. Don's extensive background in the body shop trade equips him to handle any task, making him a valuable asset to Anderson’s Autobody.

JD has been a valued member of our team for six of his 30 years as a top-notch auto refinishing and paint technician. He excels in color-matching, particularly with pearlescent paints on modern vehicles. His expertise in replicating original finishes is outstanding. Whether your car needs a refresh or has sustained long-term damage, JD is the go-to expert!

Jack Hoodenpyle is a seasoned paint and refinishing technician with 40 years of experience. His expertise includes meticulous preparation and precise masking for high-volume paint jobs, ensuring efficient and quick results. Originally from Bainbridge Island, Washington, Jack moved to Sandpoint over 30 years ago, drawn by his passion for farming and the natural beauty of the Inland Northwest.

Frazia epitomizes CLEAN. She meticulously washes, buffs, and adds protective finishes to every vehicle that leaves our shop, ensuring a “like-new, smell-new” condition that earns rave reviews from customers. Committed to safety, she follows strict COVID-19 protocols, using masks, gloves, and disinfectants. We are fortunate to have her on our team!

David is a meticulous estimator with seven years at Anderson’s and over 30 years in the autobody industry. He accurately assesses visible and hidden damage to provide reliable repair costs. Originally from San Bernardino, California, David has worked as both an appraiser and technician. Now a husband, father of three grown children, and grandpa to seven, he has called Bonner County home since 1998.

Hillari is our newest estimator, scheduler, and tech expert. Her strong organizational skills have streamlined operations at Anderson’s Autobody, managing vehicle details in our CRM. Hillari, who holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Counseling from Boise State University, returned to Sandpoint last year. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, beach camping, and training her dogs, Bart and Cassie.

Darby is our dedicated bookkeeper with deep roots in Sandpoint, where her great-grandparents established a farm. Passionate about supporting local businesses, she handles everything from insurance claims to payroll. Currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree, Darby aims to become a CPA. In her free time, she enjoys lake outings with friends and her dogs, Duke and Bo.

Julie is the welcoming face at Anderson's Autobody, handling scheduling, parts ordering, and customer inquiries. Previously a stay-at-home mom for 18 years, she also ran a home business for knitters and crocheters. Outside of work, Julie enjoys family time with her new grandbaby, boating on Lake Pend Oreille, exploring backroads, and knitting.
